TV & Film The TV Room

Last night CBS reaired the pilot episodes of Madame Secretary which aired last Sunday and Scorpion, which aired on Monday. I missed them both so decided to watch them on Saturday. I liked them both well enough to want to keep watching, so it looks like I'll have to make room in my schedule for them. Since they both conflict with other programs I plan to watch (the reason why I didn't watch them originally), I will have to watch future episodes on Video on Demand. Bah.

I finished Breaking Bad for the second time. It's still the opposite of bad.

I quite enjoyed "how to get away with murder" and I kind of liked "forever" and "Gotham". However, utopia is horrible, but I can not stop watching it. I am super excited for the next American horror story, it sounds fabulous and scary. I put most of this stuff on Hulu while I am doing school work.

Utopia is not perfect but the storyline draws you in. We've got 2 more episodes to go & I really want to know what happens!

We watched the first episode of Gotham last night. It wasn't too bad, though maybe a bit too ... simple? in the way some of the future villains were introduced. Though that approach is true to the style it would have been in a comic book. So that's okay.

I liked the Penguin character, I think he's got some potential.

How does that show work? Since it's pre-Batman, who "saves the day" from the criminals? Gordon?

Exactly. The Gordon character wasn't too bad either. Obviously, very goody-two-shoes, but that's to be expected as well, for a "good" character that originated in super-hero comic.

I haven't seen Madame Secretary (not a big Tea Leoni fan), but I have rather enjoyed Scorpion. It's a little rough around the edges, as I think the characters are still developing, but I like the premise (and Robert Patrick :D ).

I've been watching Gotham and Scorpion, too. I really like both. My only knowledge of the Batman universe comes from the cheesy 1960s TV series, so this is a nice flip side to that.

I am starting to watch the first series of Sleepy Hollow again as I started it last year but didn't carry on and I see the second series is going to be on TV. I really like it so far.:)

The CW re-aired the pilot for Jane the Virgin Friday night, and I watched it. I liked it enough to keep watching. It airs first on Monday nights, but opposite Sleepy Hollow, so I'll be watching it on Friday nights instead since it's a better time slot for me.

Season 4 of Grimm premieres on NBC this coming Friday. After that they're premiering a new show, Constantine, based on a comic book character that I'm not familiar with since I don't read comic books, but I plan to check it out anyway, since some critics are recommending it.

Is anyone else watching Selfie? He just introduced her to an old fashioned landline, not the cordless kind. Ahhh....memories. :p

Against my better judgment I watched The Paradise because it had really good ratings, but was cancelled after one season. It was good, and now I'll never know what happens next.

eta: It looks like I was wrong, there is a season 2, but no season 3. Oh well, one more season is better than none.

I never heard of The Paradise.

I did start watching a new half-hour comedy on USA called Benched. It's not that great, but it's still a little amusing, so I decided to keep watching.
