TV & Film The TV Room

Next Sunday will be the second season finale of Resurrection (ABC). For some weird reason, I don’t miss the series between episode airings, and it takes me about 15-20 minutes of watching to fully get into each episode, but by the time the episode ends, I’m on the edge of my seat, going, “What’s going to happen next?” So once the season finale is over, I wonder if I’m going to go crazy or not waiting for season 3 to start (assuming it gets renewed for season 3, that is).

It's interesting that you say that, Amy. I feel the same way about the series. Hubby, otoh enjoys it much more than I do.

Quoting some old posts in this thread .... :)
Is anyone watching The Americans? It is surprisingly good.
Absolutely! We're about to start watching season 3 now.
Really digging The Americans at the moment. It's been terrific so far. Two great central performances, loads of really exciting set-pieces, and a seriously cool 1980s period setting.
It's been an amazing series. It's not often I get really hooked on a TV series, but this one has all the right ingredients, apparently.

I watched series 4 episodes 9 and 10 of Grimm last night and I was bawling when Monroe was talking about his love for Rosalee in front of those Nazi people. Best episode ever. I have the new one to watch today.

Weird thing is, when Grimm was a new series, Monroe was the comic relief. But now, it seems to be Bud. Poor Bud, they were going to kill him, too, but I was laughing at him anyway.

I'm so glad Michelle Visage was kicked out of the Celeb BB house as I was seriously ****** off with some of her comments.

I just learned that NBC has renewed Grimm for a fifth season. Moar beasties, yay!

Yay. That show has really grown on me.:)

I taped that to watch as I keep reading about it and it was interesting. I had to fast forward the part with the meat sausages and the gristle.:hurl:

I enjoy watching programmes on how to save money.
In this particular case, the family seemed to have no idea of what they were spending per month. I wasn't too impressed with their menus as they were mainly burgers, white spaghetti with sausages and mince. They were eating mainly processed food and hardly ever ate fresh vegetable, fruit or whole grains. So, yes you can save money when switching to the basic or no brand products but it doesn't mean you're eating a more healthy diet.

I liked the part where he said that the no brand jam wasn't nearly as good as his usual brand, even thought it was the same product.:D

Did you see the next one yet? The family were spending £350+ a week on food by going to the supermarket 17 times a week! There was a funny bit when the woman was complaining that she bought carrot batons because cutting up a few carrots took up so much time and they showed her cutting them as if it was a massive job.:p

Oh no, I missed it.

It beats me when people buy ready cut vegetables packed salad leaves and cooked rice.

I have seen many of Gillian Mckeith's programmes when people start to actually get to know what vegetables and fruit are. They were always complaining of how hard it is to peel and chop vegetables. I wonder what they actually do for a living ?

The family in the new show seemed very well off as they had a stunning kitchen and they seemed quite posh. They did change their ways in the end as they used to buy all branded food but they said some of the cheaper versions were just as nice. You have to tell me what you think if you see it.:D
