The Weather.

My step daughter lives in California and she's melting out there. I don't know how you guys stand it...I could never.

The heat index is up to 107 but those are actual temperatures! OMG
I imagine it's just as bad for you because of the humidity...maybe even worse. Their humidity is only 23%! Lol

Raining! We are getting our windows cleaned today as well for the first time in months! Typical.

They always say the humidity makes it worse but HOT is HOT no matter what! LOL
It's pouring rain now!
You're probably right but I hate that wet feeling when you step out into humidity. It's only been in the mid to upper 60's in the mornings when I walk and I come home with my shirt wet from the morning humidity. It's gross lol. But yeah, even dry heat, once it hits 100+ is oppressive.

Rain yesterday and again today. I was awakened during the night by thunder. This time it was near/loud...you could hear the crackle of it. Only lasted about two minutes. Wish it would happen during the day when I can enjoy it. I didn't even look to see what time it was but I thought it was cute that Joon started crying and had to come snuggle under the covers. She usually runs and hides. 💙

I use weather apps and their forecasting ability to help me make plans.
I have no trouble trusting them for rain. In fact one of them actually sends me a notification when it's about to rain. And its ability to forecast when it's going to rain is spot on.
However I also need to make plans for hot days and I can't figure out which one to trust.

For example a few days ago for San Mateo, Weather Bug predicted a high of 100. Yahoo said 97. Acuweather said 94, Weather channel said 91. Apple’s app said 85.

Such variation for San Mateo is pretty typical for hot days. Unfortunately I don't have a thermometer outside. Sometimes I pass by the bank which has one of those big time and temperature displays and when I do check it - it seems like Yahoo is mostly correct. But it needs more verification.

Does anyone else have something like this where they live?

Oh for goodness sakes.
Today Weather bug says its 73 right now and Apple says its 81. Yahoo says 82. and Weather Chanel says 84.
I still don't have a thermometer outside but I just came back in and it feels like 85.

That's brutal. We are 88 with a real feel of 99. I don't spend any time outdoors when it's like this. I got a good walk in at 7 am. That was enough for me.

It`s cooled down since yesterday with some drizzle. I prefer this kind of weather compared to the unbearable heat in the south of France. At least you can still go out and not feel drained all day long.
