Physical Exercise Yoga

I did #7 today, missed it yesterday. :starshower:

Feeling myself again after the kidney infection.

Also getting stronger in the postures and determined to get my feet flat during dogstand.

I am just going to stick with my dvd till i have achieved more flexibility in the postures.

Loving it.

Are you doing the Shiva Rea DVD as well? How are you finding it?

I am also determined to get my feet down and legs straight for downwards dog by the end of this!

Not doing the Shiva Rea Dvd yet.

Going to stick with Susan Fulton Power Yoga for the 30 day Challenge then start another 30 day Challenge with the Shiva Rea Dvd.

I am also working towards bending forward hands on floor head to knees

I am getting better at coordinating my breathing with movement which feels good!

I haven't missed yet, but some days have only been 20 minutes. I did an hour yesterday and will again today and tomorrow (holiday.)

My breathing is getting better, too. I watched this one video where the teacher demonstrated and explained it very well. I will look for the bookmark in my mess of a browser and post it here. The 2 guys teaching weren't too hard on the eyes, either. ;)

It is 78 minutes (!) but really good on the breathing and describing everything.

Also a 2 minute one that makes me feel young! :D

Morning Ladies, Feeling fantastic, didnt feel like getting up but the only thing that will keep me from my mat is LAZINESS. so got up and felt fantastic.. Warrior pose with the birds singing outside and rain falling was magical... What a way to start the day.

Even meh my cat :cat: came to do some stretches.

I notice that when i feel tense or anxious I hold my breath during the day, so now just trying to always remember to breath and breath. The same during yoga. Sometimes I forget to breath but what I love about susan fulton is that she is so calm and she tells you to breath at the right times throughout the postures.

I added to postures this morning but dont know the names. will google and let you know.

Postures I loved this morning. Downward dog balance. Triangle Pose.

Day 11, I did that!

My legs are getting straighter in downwards dog without (as far as I know) affecting the straightness of my back. Woo! Next step: heels on floor.
 
Day 11 HIGH FIVE :zen:

Well must admit this morning getting up was a bit tough, my little one is teething - mommy to the rescue during the night. BUT

After Sun Salutation - I was awake and ready to just enjoy the journey of yoga, every morning it takes me somewhere different within myself.

Added 3 postures to my routine. Dancer, Forward Bend Head to Knee (work in progress) and Bird of Paradies (also work in progress)

I find that some postures leave me feeling slightly nauseous and I think its due to the detoxing function of the postures.

Love the Dog Balance - its such a strong posture.

Still struggling sometimes with my breathing.

My downward dog also improving, sometimes do feel my back stretching...

LOVING IT..

Going to try find some kundalini yoga classes as I am interested in them.

Have a kick *** day everyone

Had to put day # 13 on hold till tomorrow baby has ear infection and pink eye! Hard night with very little sleep! Will continue tomorrow!!! Missed the journey today and messed up my day!
 
I think I'm going to give my body a break this evening, I just don't feel right about it. Maybe I'll get up early for a sesh tomorrow morning instead :)
 
Still wasn't feeling it this evening. Did a few comfortable postures but nothing really. I'll count it as 14 but bit of a cheat doing it :p

I'm doing yoga more often now that I'm biking regularily. Dead pigeon is my favourite; it's the only thing that helps release the tightness in my glutes after a longass bikeride. I want to get some sort of fitness calendar or chart drawn up so I can keep track . . .
