Physical Exercise Yoga

I am stuck on day13 kira been keeping me up the whole night with ear and viral infection. Lots of cuddles. Feeling less exhausted today and will get up again tomorrow morning . miss yoga .
 
Saturday and Sunday were also a bit cheaty but got a proper one done today. Have a bit more free time this week so will really throw myself into it :)

Today was day 17 I think?

My baby girl is finally almost herself again and sleeping through the night. Thank heavens... Stressful when they are not feeling well and you worry and just give lots of TLC.

I will however get back into it tomorrow morning, miss the stretching and flexing, almost feel like I am back to square one now.

Is there any of you who do yoga in the evenings? How do you cope with distractions, I am trying to move my yoga to the evenings but that means that my girl would be running around me etc, noise etc.

Do you just block out the noise?

Aw, I just do it whenever I have time, which is usually the evening cos I'm liable to sleep in late!

Could you do it after you've put her to bed? It's a really good way to wind down at the end of the day and your muscles are warmer so more flexible.

Or maybe think about getting a mother and baby yoga DVD so you could try a bit together? :)
 
she usually goes to bed at 19:00 and then my husband wants to watch some series / movie on the tv - best time would be when I get home from work as he can then look after her in the kitchen while I do the yoga - or I will just have to bite the bullet and get up in the mornings.

Going to look into maybe attending some classes.

Yes, classes are good, but sometimes I put on meditation music to drown out my loud family. :)
 
Mine is so worse.

I have been wanting to go to the yoga class they offer at my college, but have not had the time to take it. I mean a full semester, graded, sign up for class. I heard good things about it.



This morning.

Super stiff from pushing myself yesterday but I feel like I am walking taller these days :)

I have realised part of the journey of yoga is just to let it be, no point in stressing about not being able to make it to the mat. Thats not the purpose of my journey.

I had to give up on the challenge for now and aim just to make it to the yoga mat when I can.

That takes all the anxiety out of it.

Wonder what I look like in downward dog... ha ha....

Ledboots i see the Shiva Rea dvd comes with meditation music on the background....

I was thinking of doing yoga in the nursery - put dvd on laptop that way no distractions.

Thats just crazy... How can people be so narrow minded.

I did yoga this morning. Love the Power Yoga dvd I have of Susan Fulton... The shiva rea one looks a bit different so will stick to the basic one till I feel more flexible...
 
I have Shiva Rea a go for a change again today. This DVD is definitely a lot more challenging than her beginner one!

The matrix is fun tho, solar/lunar meditation followed by the Earth sequence is pretty doable and definitely good for practicing your downwards dog! I always manage to collapse out just before the very end though, gonna work on that!

I haven't tried any of the other sequence because they look INSANE.

Just did day 22, feels good. I'm proper blissed out lately, a combination of a lot of things ( sunshine!) but I think the yoga definitely helps :)
 
I think I saw some yoga for the Wii at the video game store. I should stop by this week to rent it and see how I like it. I've been slacking off because my energy is low, but now I think my energy keeps dropping because I've slacked off.
 
been doing shorter periods of yoga, its winter here so after a hot bath do a few postures and stretch stretch stretch , so dark in the mornings now and sleeping so nicely. going to start doing my routine when little one is in bed at night, will grab my hubbies lap top and do it in the nursery where there will be no distractions... little one still sleeps in our room..
